i bought a laptop from someone in canada. the battery charged fine in canada, but never charged in usa.?
any ideas? is there a difference in charger or battery for canada vs. usa? laptop doesn't see the battery. will work only on ac.

Having bought an incomptaible generic Notebook PC battery before, I suspect battery may even be dead or have not worked as it is my understanding that like a Dell AC charger has the capability to recharge a notebook battery whether in 110V or 220V enviroment as stated in the range if you were to look closely in the fineprint on any Notebook PC charger. Best of Luck in resolving matter and FYI genuine Notebook PC batteries can be very pricey...as I have bought 2 so far that worked fine after learning the hard way that buying generic batteries manufactured in China sold by Tiger Direct is taking chances...
