I recently moved to the USA and brought a laptop with me, how do I set it up to run here?
How do I setup a laptop recently brought from another country? I have the necessary adapters. I turned the laptop on and it works but can't hook up to the Internet. I have netgear router and it recognises it.

More info is needed. You say it recognizes the wireless signal from the router. You then have have to open up your wireless software and choose to connect to the signal. Can't help you any further for lack of information.

You need a ISP in order to hit the internet up, when you get one you like, I suggest cable, then ask them to set things up for you should work.
