Our oldest son lives and works in London UK and overseas postage is atrocious and very expensive. If I were in your shoes, I believe your best bet would be to buying from a USA major supplier...hopefully like Dell Outlet though I can foresee your problems bec some Sellers unless you bought on EBAY and then paid via PayPal might not accept foreign currency... Actually I own 3 Dell Notebook PCs and I was surprised that there is a EBAY Seller here in Northern VA around Washington DC that sells top rated Dells and many Brits and Europeans actually pay the inflated price plus hefty S&H. Another choice is maybe if your child has credit card is to use that credit card number <= assume you are paying or to ask the host family to assist you if it isn't too much trouble.
