My dad, a tourist, is bringing his laptop to USA. will the customs ask him about it?
My dad was givin this laptop by his friend. He doesn't have its invoice or its papers. Will they ask him about it? or no proble, he can bring it

They sure will. No big deal though.

I have traveled outside the US and have brought my laptop with me a few times. Customs have never given me a problem or asked any questions. Just follow all rules and regulations and he should not have any concerns!

The computer itself is not a problem - lots of people travel with them all the time. Customs now has the right to search the contents of the laptop. They don't search everyone's but they can. If you don't cooperate, they can seize it. Since someone gave it to him, he should make sure he knows everything that is on the disk, and remove any files that he doesn't absolutely need to bring along.
