Will a laptop bought in USA which is set for a specific voltage and current work in another country?
Different countries have different specification of Current and Voltage for their electric supply. So will an electronic equipment bought in one country work in another country with 'different' current. If not, is there any 'adapter' which can be used?

Answer 1 :
In back of your computer you should have a selector switch for the different voltage settings. Reason being that some computers are sold in Europe which has a 240 versus our 120 volt rating. If you did switch to the 240, you would need to buy an adapter for your plug as all the different voltages have different plugs. Probably would cost $2-$5, depending on where you got it. You would also switch the tab in the back of the computer from 120 to the 240 volts.
