Who bought laptop from e-bay USA location? Laptops offered from USA by e-bay are made in USA or China?
And is there really difference in quality of laptops (same model and configuration) made in USA or China? Who has experience?

If it's from China, I'd be skeptical of the quality. Korea and Taiwan are a different story. As for the US...well who manufactures in the US anymore?

All Laptops come from china like everything else made in the world

just about all laptops are made in china today, even japanese and taiwanese companies are outsourcing to china or malaysia for manufacture

Buying a laptop in the USA and bringing it back with me to Ireland?
Customs Law - Buying a laptop in the USA and bringing it back with me to Ireland?
I'm going to the USA in April for holidays, and it occurred to me that I could buy a laptop there for less than it'd cost in Ireland. If I did so, and then brought the laptop with me, would I have any problems with customs? Would they charge me anything?

Don't mind slaggin the yanks off when it suits though do you?

You'd have to pay VAT unless you could convince them you'd took it with you. Also bear in mind you'd need a new power supply as we have different power, and your guarantee would be unusable. I bought mine in Derry. A little cheaper, same power supply, and closer if anything goes wrong.

i bought my laptop in USA also the laptop i have is 800euro here got it for 400 in america,i brought 2 back as 1 was for my dad in law & id no problems with customs,i carried 1 on the plane & the other was in my baggage

UPS Shipping Laptop from USA to Philippines?
I plan on shipping a laptop from the USA to the Philippines via UPS Worldwide Expedited. The value of the laptop is $1000 USD. Am I going to get a surprise massive customs charge when they deliver to my door? Is there a way to avoid this?

Are there restrictions about purchasing a laptop in the USA that will be used permanently in Canada?
Are there restrictions about purchasing a laptop in the USA that will be used permanently in Canada?
I am an American who has been shopping around for a HP Pavilion laptop for a close friend who lives in Canada. When I look at USA web sites, the model numbers end with "US". When I look at Canadian web sites, the model numbers end in "CA". Does this mean "US' models are restricted for the USA and "CA" models are restricted for Canada?
