Does it matter whether vaio laptop is made in china or usa?does the quality really change?
I have chosen one of the cw ones but the prob is that it is made in china.since I can not find the same thing made in usa I'm in dilema .What do you suggest?

Doesnt make a difference. Even if its put together in the good ole USA, the parts are still predominantly made in China or some other country.

who should I contact to know if I need to pay taxes to import my laptop by DHL from France to USA?
this is my laptop. It is in france. I need it here in the US. I thought having it mailed to me by DHL. Should I pay taxes ? if yes where should I ask ?

Ask DHL. They have experts that can help you with all the documentation that you'll need to get it to the US, and they will know which forms you have to fill out - plus fill them out for you if necessary.

Contact US Customs. While the carrier may be able to estimate the duty, the Customs Service has the final say.

If it is your laptop, you should not pay import taxes. Import taxes are only paid when there is a commercial transaction involved.

Hi all, I have a month old Toshiba lapertised it top which is very hi power and only a month old . Now I want to sell this.......... can someone tell me where to put freeads or how to sell it , here in usa... i have already advertised it in CRaiglist but to no result ..... Thanks

I have received educational DVDs, which I need for my thesis, from the USA and the UK and I cannot play them in my laptop. I am told that my DVD player is not Region 1 compatible. Can I do anything? Maybe add some kind of software, or I don't know what ...

Many better laptops will allow you to change the region setting, although generally only a few times. Your best bet is probably to get a player that plays all regions, or invest in a cheap US market (Region 1) DVD player. You should be able to purchase a new DVD player for this purpose for less than USD$50.
