Can I cross the border to USA with my laptop? QUICK!!?
Im going to cleveland today and I want to bring my laptop from Canada-USA im going to be in a coach bus. ALSO can I bring it to Canada? Do I have to pay anything! thanks

I almost 100 percent think you can. You should call your local airport and direct call to security and they will tell you conditions. Package your computer very well. Had friends fly with them in the states and had them torn apart in baggage hold dave

Carry it in your hands? And run real fast?? Just kidding. No problem taking a computer across the border. Whether they may make you turn it on to "prove" it's a computer, I don't know - probably not.

Sure you can, but be aware the US Customs (and probably Canadian Customs too) have the right to examine ANYTHING on the laptop that takes their fancy - you'll probably go through customs without any difficulty, but there's the possibility of complications. This is why many major corporations forbid their executives from having any company-confidential documents on their laptops when they travel internationally, and for goodness' sake make sure you haven't got any porn on your disks!

No, you will need to declare it when entering the US. You will be given a form to fill out at the border. Keep this form and present it to the Canadian customs officials to keep ypu from being charged duty and taxes when returning.
