Answer 1 :
no, not really anymore. dont tell me you want xp.....vista is so much better....AND SAFER.
Answer 2 :
if your worried about vista you wont have problems if it comes preinstalled factory direct
Answer 3 :
yes, from what i know they are still available from the factory... if i were you, ill just buy a good laptop with a good processor, ram and video card and just keep vista...
Answer 4 :
Yes. Dell sells some of the Vostros or Latitudes with XP Pro installed for $99 if you order the Business Bonus or Ultimate Bonus. Gets you xp pro installed and a vista disc for upgrade later. You have to look at the small business computer section, not the home computer section.
Answer 5 :
Yes it is, but Vista is better in every way, but you can develop your own opinion on it, don't let others sway you. Its even better now that service pack one is out.

USA Voltage, will my laptop charger be ok?

USA Voltage, will my laptop charger be ok?
Hi, I am traveling to the USA on Saturday and would like to know if my laptop charger will work, the rating label reads: Input 100-240V ~ 1.7A 50-60Hz I think it will but need confirmation, also will i need an adaptor to fit into the socket for my plug to fit? I live in the UK if it makes a difference. Thanks

Answer 1 :
it should but our plugs are different. you most likely will need a travel adapter.
Answer 2 :
Yes we run standard outlets at 110 to 123 max volts. Your Adapter range is 100 to 240 volts.
Answer 3 :
You'll need a 13A to US two pin travel adaptor but they are widely available. Apart from that you're fine.

Answer 1 :
Not Megawatts but volts yes the usa uses 110 volt and most of the rest of the world uses 220-240. laptop companies know this so there powersupplies cover the range 110-240volts. depending on the model you should also be able tochange the Video format from NTS to PAL assume that you use pal system. if its cheaper then go for it. all the best RR
Answer 2 :
in communist russia, the laptop buys you! if you're using 110 megawatts your electric bill must be astronomical!
Answer 3 :
it will work just make sure you have a power converter for russian electrial outlets hardware is hardware it all works the same just some places are different then others lol. You mom is probably old and dosent know what shes talking about most older folks never do.
