Will a laptop (alienware M11x R3) bought from the USA work in European power outlets ?
Besides the fact that you would need an adaptor because the plug is different. Will it work normally ,nothing will break , catch on fire ? I heard something that In USA the power outlets give 110V not 220V like in Europe

Yes. Electronic devices like adapters for laptops, cellphones, iPods, PSP, etc. can be plugged and used anywhere in the world. They are 110-240V AC capable. The only thing you need to worry about is the plug which can easily be purchased. If you want to be sure, read the inscription on the power adapter.
