It's probably hopeless because Americans are too stupid to manufacture/design these sophisticated things, so they rely on the smarter Asians to make/design these things.

Sadly, you will most likely have to buy it at a second hand store or steal it from a museum. You see, companies need to make a profit, and when you have competition, you have to either offer a cheaper product or service, or a better quality product or service. Now, take a look at Walmart, and tell me which of those two are most evident? You see, we want cheap stuff, so the only way to stay in business is for a company to find a way to make a product that is cheap enough that consumers will buy it, but still allow for a profit margin. Do you know what Vlasic pickles are? Read what Walmart did for them. http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/77/walmart.html I am not saying that Walmart is to blame. No, you and I are to blame. We chose to buy the products that are destroying our country. We have a major trade deficit because we shop at Walmart. There are still small regional companies out there. I live in Oregon, and I know what products are produced locally. Do I always buy from them? No, at times I do have to go buy stuff from from department stores, but I go to regional ones like Bi Mart and Fred Meyer. Sure, these companies buy products from China, but they also stock local products. Here is something else to think about. Go to http://www.dealextreme.com They have some ridiculously cheap stuff listed there, but you know what, it is cheap. I bought products from them in order to repair a friends Nintendo DS, and you know what, the parts on the broken DS were of better quality that the new stuff I bought from them. Oh well. Another example would be http://www.kasacapital.com This company hosts websites like http://www.myhotrod.com http://www.myhotprelude.com and on and on and on. Instead of using local shops, we go to these places and let them rip us off and we have little recourse to correct the problem. I disagree with the 'smarter Asians' comment, even though Asians are pretty smart, it is simply that we as Americans are allowing our greed to kill our economy for the next generation. The Vlasic article is very informative, and in some ways, very sad.
Answer 2 :
For new consumer electronics, you cannot. Why, is becuase Americans are cheap. They would sooner buy the cheap overseas manufactured goods, rather than those manufactured domestically, or nearby, from manufacturers which pay their workers a living wage similar to their own.

I hate Yahoo! Voice. Try SMSDiscount.com, VoIPRaider.com, Nonoh.net instead! Best, cheapest of the lot! Doesn't matter where you are calling from. Could be from any part of the world!

Answer 1 :
If your talking about the plug, buy an adapter. You should buy a voltage converter as well that may be where the line came from it could be causing damage to your computer.
Answer 2 :
If you mean a line on the screen. That has nothing do do with the power you have a problem with your video. Your video converter is most likely broken.
Answer 3 :
to change the system language to Japanese. (for XP, the options are just placed in different tabs in vista but still same steps tho) click on START CONTROL PANEL DATE, TIME, LANGUAGE, AND REGIONAL OPTIONS click on LANGUAGES tab check INSTALL FILES FOR EAST ASIAN LANGUAGES go to ADVANCED tab choose JAPANESE on the drop down menu click on REGIONAL OPTIONS choose JAPANESE on the 1st drop down menu choose JAPAN on the 2nd drop down menu restart the pc
Answer 4 :
What do you mean by convert to Japanese ?? Change the language to Japanese , Type or read Japanese ? If you see a line on the screen, it has nothing to do with being in Japan. Most probably something wrong with your graphics card or the screen. GIVE MORE DETAILS! BTW Both Japan and US use 110v Type A (Two pin) or Type B (3 pin) plugs. You donĂ¢€™t need any converters!
