I purchased laptop in usa i have a doller symbol but dont seem to find a pound sign?

Go to the Insert menu and look for Symbol, then look for Currency. รข‚¤
Answer 2 :
Most US computers have the pound sign when you press SHIFT+3. If not, you can probably use the on-screen keyboard if you need that character.
