if i buy a sony laptop in usa will the warranty be valid in Great Britain?

Check the documentation. It should have an international warranty booklet with it, this will explain it. I have had a Sony laptop for 2 years and have had nothing but trouble with it (various faulty hardware). The UK support centre isn't much good either. Won't be buying again.

if your warrenty is world wide it will accept in anywhere. or else go to the sony site search your model for world wide warrenty. pls register your product in sony site.

No, as far as I know. I sell computers in Australia and the only brands that have international warranties that we sell are Toshiba's, Apple computers and Lenovo's.
